Gemma was 20 weeks pregnant when I first saw her. She had developed pubic symphysis dysfunction and was in great pain. She could barely walk to my treatment room. She had been offered very strong painkillers and advised to use crutches or a wheelchair for the rest of her pregnancy.
None of these options appealed to her. After her session, she was immediately pain-free. She walked easily back to the car – and spent the evening happily moving round – as she put it ‘I danced all night’. I saw her the following week and the rest of her pregnancy was trouble free.
